Bird Park, Phuket, Thailand

Bird Park in Phuket features tropical species: Hornbills, parrots, crocodiles. It is definitely worth the visit to get to see a bird show and tour the park.
Hornbills are very colorful and smart birds. Parrots are known to enjoy interacting with people, which sometimes becomes very entertaining.

My interaction with crocodiles was short and spooky: while I stood above a pool with crocodiles one of them silently swam close to me and silently appeared on a cement ramp of the pool next to me. Crocodiles move slow, undetected in the water. When they are resting outside with open jaws, they seem to be not alive. But it's all to fool a next victim, prey. Crocodiles are fast and fierce predators, that survived for 200 million years on earth. Even humans, the most fearsome predators ever to stalk the earth, have failed to force into extinction any of the 23 species of crocodilians.
I was able to capture an eye to eye moment with a predator. Take a look!

Discovering Thailand: untold stories

There were a few moments during our trip when I had to stop and ask myself: " Am I seeing that for real, or is it a mirage in the sun?" When I realized it is a reality, I reached for my camera and captured the unseen moment.
The picture below is taken during a walk along a beach avenue and it is a souvenir store.

The picture below was a cultural shock for me, personally. Whatever happens in Thailand, stays in Thailand.

I loved mango smoothies in Thailand and appreciated Thai humor: see below.

Nobody goes hungry in Thailand. Literally, you can find good and healthy food choices for super reasonable prices. My personal "Wow" find was rice with omelet from Tesco Lotus for 19 THB, with current exchange rate CA$ 1= 24 THB being CA 0.80 for portion. It is so tasty too!

In Phuket Town I found a haunted colonial style house falling apart just in the middle of a busy neighborhood. I honestly, had to pinch myself, to insure I am not seeing things.
