Activity #5 Kelowna Farmer's MarketWhere to buy freshest produce, prepared food and beverage items, various crafts? Kelowna Farmer's and Crafter's Market! It has a little bit of everything. Located: parking lot at the corner of Dilworth and Springfield. When: Wednesday and Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM. Operates April 7 to November 3. It is worth to visit the Wine Country Bakery bus. They specialize in European breads: 100% rye bread (no yeast added), Bavarian bread, French style Baguette, Italian style Ciabatta, spelt bread, pretzel buns, cheese kaiser buns, focaccia buns with hers, multigrain buns, Bavarian pretzel. Everything baked fresh, sold the same day. My personal favorite vendor is Orchard Valley Soaps for high quality soaps and Thieve Oil Spay. This time I bought Mulberry, Lemongrass and Thieve Oil flavored soaps. Thieve Oil spray saved me from cold/flu past winter and spring. It is truly a miracle worker in a bottle, several sprays throughout a day kept the flu bugs away. We also like Samosa Lady for delicious and always fresh samosas. Sometimes nobody feels like cooking on a hot summer day, so we simply toast samosas in the oven till crisp. They come out super scrumptious: crispy dough outside and juicy/flavorful meet inside. Farmer's market also has fresh flower bouquet for every occasion! There are so many vendors to explore: coffee, cheese, sausage, pancakes, popcorn, arts/crafts, lemonade stand, fresh vegetables and fruit. Please come and check it out!
